Annual Positive Spin for ALS Bike Tour presented by the
Holloway Family Foundation
From Ironmen/women who sprint over
country roads, to cyclists who like the rush of leading the
pack, to Sunday drivers whose idea of a bike adventure is
pedaling to the closest Starbuck’s for a quick cup of
joe, the 2006 Positive Spin for ALS Bike Tour
presented by The Holloway Family Foundation is the ride
for you.
The 2006 bike tour will challenge even the most experienced rider and yet
will be thrilling and fun for the novice, as
we have implemented short routes (approx. 40 miles) both days. A fully supported 160 mile ride and
weekend tour for all cyclists, the Positive Spin for ALS
Bike Tour presented by The Holloway Family Foundation promises
to be one of the greatest cycling events of 2006. Our
committed group of volunteers will be on hand to pamper
cyclists and provide their every need during the event.
Don’t think you can make 75 miles each day?
Take advantage of our short routes! Rest
Stops every 10 miles will fortify you for the next leg and we
provide SAG vehicles and mechanics to pick you up or fix your
flats!
Our goal is to raise money to support
people diagnosed with the brutal disease called ALS and to
reach that goal, each rider is required to raise a minimum of
$150. We will help you write letters,
give you tips on how to raise the big bucks and support your
progress along the way. And by the way, most riders
raise an average of $500!
Reg fees:

4/1/06 to 4/30/06 $30
5/1/06 to 6/2/06 $35
6/3/06 ( Day Of Ride) $40
Here are a few things you will need to
know:

Helmets must be worn at all times during the tour
·
All riders must sign a waiver
·
Participants under the age of 17 years must be accompanied by
a parent or guardian
·
Each rider must pay the non refundable registration fee and
$150 minimum pledge (see fee schedule on Registration
Form)

registration is June 2, 2006. Registration
fee of $35 .

Day of the Event at the Start location.
START LOCATION
& TIME:
The ride will leave from
Bicycles Inc., 5125 Granbury Road in Fort Worth, promptly at 7:00 am.
The short route will end in Granbury.
That means you need to be at the venue well before 7:00AM
so that you can check in with our registration volunteers
, turn in your money, check your bike, fill up with water
etc.
