Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not
produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is
needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy
needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes is a mystery,
although both genetics and environmental factors such as obesity
and lack of exercise appear to play roles.

on a daily basis. Programs include: Cullen Residence Hall,
Supported Living, Willow River Farms, Respite Services, LifeCare,
Volunteer Services, Momentum Industries, Adult Activity Center,

varying degrees of mental retardation and or other disabilities,
and range in age from 3 years to 78 years of age. Inquiries for
more information are always welcome. Contact Lizette Irwin,
