Great Ride in the "Wildflower Capital" of Texas!

There will be multiple rest stops. Goodie bags and tee-shirts for the first 300 riders registered. The 50 mile and 100K routes will loop through beautiful Mother Neff State Park. With five rest stops and SAG support vehicles each ten miles, it is going to be well supported. The event will be a festival as much as a tour. We will have a safety clinic for children, entertainment and post ride food and drinks available.

It is a Texas Bicycle Coalition Supporting Ride, which means TBC will receive $1.00 for each rider. All proceeds will go to the Temple Kiwanis Club Children's Projects which include Peaceable Kingdom Resort for Critically Ill Children, High School Key Clubs, and Santa Pal for underprevilged kids among others.

Date: May 25th 2002 Routes: 10,25, 50mi & 100K Start Location: Mayborn Center Ride start is at the Frank Mayborn Convention Center (201 North 5th , Temple) just off IH-35, approximately 30 miles South of Waco and 70 miles North of Austin. PACKET PICK-UP:
Day-of-the-Ride, Saturday, MAy 25th, beginning at 6:30 AM continuing through 8:00 AM at the Mayborn Center.
MOTEL AND CAMPING:

REST STOPS:
Rest stops will be placed at approximately 10-mile intervals and at the Finish line. Each rest stop will be theme related and be sponsored by merchants and civic clubs. Be ready to vote on the best rest stop! Porta-potties will be available. SAG wagons will be patrolling the route to help with any problems. Minor bicycle repairs will be available before and during the ride. SAG stations and vehicles will have portable phones for immediate contact.
